Spanish Cherry

Spanish Cherry (Mimusops elengi), also known as Bakul or Maulsari, is a tropical evergreen tree admired for its fragrant white flowers and dense, rounded canopy. It reaches adulthood in 8-12 years, typically growing up to 9-18 meters in height. The tree has a long lifespan, often living for over 100 years with proper care. It thrives in full to partial sunlight, requiring at least 4-6 hours of sunlight daily, and prefers well-drained, fertile soils. The Spanish Cherry is drought-tolerant once mature but benefits from regular watering during its early growth stages, making it a favored choice for gardens, avenues, and temples due to its ornamental and medicinal properties.
